I bought this thinking it would make me feel a lot safer at home, but it didn’t really live up to what I had in mind. I expected to feel more confident having it around, especially in case of an emergency, but I still don’t feel totally comfortable relying on it. At this point, it mostly just stays in the drawer.

I feel like I spent way too much on this for what I actually got. I was expecting something nicer for the price, and now I’m kind of annoyed with myself for buying it.

The delivery was fine overall, but the tracking didn’t really update much (which made it a little hard to know what was going on). It ended up arriving later than I expected, but it did get here eventually.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable trusting this for my elderly dad. It just doesn’t seem suitable for someone vulnerable, and I’d expect some kind of apology or acknowledgment for that.

I had a question about my order and sent a message through the site. They replied quickly, I think later the same day, which helped because I was starting to wonder if everything was actually going through okay.

The response felt like a real person had read my message, not just some generic copy-paste reply. They explained things clearly and helped me figure out what I needed, so that did rebuild some confidence.

I’m giving 4 stars because the first email confirmation took longer than I expected, and that kind of made me a little unsure at the start. Customer service was good in the end, but the slow confirmation did chip away at my trust a bit.

I bought one from dechoker.com to keep at home just in case, but I’m disappointed. For the price, it feels cheaper than I expected. The plastic is kind of flimsy, and after taking it out a couple times to look it over, the mask already wasn’t sitting right. The case latch got loose quickly too. I’ve had to explain this a few times now, but the main issue is that it just doesn’t feel solid enough for something you’d be relying on in an emergency.

I had a tough time getting this to work the way I thought it would. Maybe other customers will have better luck, but for me, it wasn’t as straightforward as expected.

When I first started the training, I thought I’d be able to jump right in, but I ended up pausing a few times because the instructions weren’t totally clear to me. After I figured out what they were asking, the rest of the training went okay and I was able to get through it. It wasn’t a bad experience overall, but clearer directions at the beginning would have made it much smoother.

I was checking out Dechoker and was interested at first, but I never got comfortable enough to actually place an order. The website gave me a little hesitation, and something about it just didn’t feel as clear or trustworthy as I would’ve liked.

It might be totally fine for other people, but with anything health related, I need to feel really sure before buying. I ended up backing out and decided not to order.

I bought this because I was worried about choking and wanted something extra in the house, just in case. I’m not saying we used it perfectly or that it won’t work for anyone else, but when my dad had a really scary choking episode, it didn’t get anything out.

We ended up doing back blows and abdominal thrusts while calling for help, which is what actually got us through it. Maybe other people have had better results, and that’s fine, but for us it was not the lifesaver I thought I was buying. I really wish I had focused more on learning the standard choking response instead of feeling safer just because we had this.

I remember it feeling rough to use, and I don’t recall the safety instructions being very clear. Maybe I’m forgetting a small detail, but overall I just didn’t feel that comfortable or confident using it.
